Praca porusza tematykę łysienia plackowatego, jej celem jest przedstawienie kosmetologicznych metod wspierania walki z tym schorzeniem. Opisano budowę włosa oraz jego fazy wzrostu. Scharakteryzowano łysienie plackowate oraz inne rodzaje łysienia pod kątem etiopatogenezy, obrazu klinicznego oraz metod leczenia. Zaprezentowano również metody diagnostyczne oraz przykłady zabiegów kosmetologicznych, które mogą pomóc w leczeniu i poprawie estetyki pacjentów z łysieniem plackowatym (karboksyterapia, terapia osoczem bogatopłytkowym, mezoterapia igłowa, mikropigmentacja, fotochemioterapia).

The paper addresses the topic of alopecia areata, with the aim of presenting cosmetological methods supporting the fight against this condition. It describes the structure of the hair and its growth phases. Alopecia areata and other types of hair loss are characterized in terms of etiopathogenesis, clinical presentation, and treatment methods. Diagnostic methods are also presented, along with examples of cosmetological treatments that may aid in the treatment and improvement of aesthetics for patients with alopecia areata (carboxytherapy, platelet-rich plasma therapy, needle mesotherapy, micropigmentation, photochemotherapy).
